Videotage and Noise Asia is proud to present this concert, featuring the collaboration of the sound artist Martijn Tellinga and the laboratory musician Dickson Dee .
Martijn Tellinga is a composer and sound-artist in the field of new electro-acoustic music and sonic arts. His work shows a great care for textural qualities and an eye for compositoric details, and seeks its identity somewhere in the overlap of formalized form and intuitive music-making. More than relying on melody, harmony and rhythm, these works are constructed from the fundamental building blocks of music: timbre, texture, volume and time-elapse. Martijn composes for quadraphonic- and multichannel environments, exploring both sonic directionality as well as spacial characteristics of the physical setting the work is performed in. Combined with Dickson’s wide range of creative styles, ranging from avant garde to experimental, music concrete, electronic, new classical, industrial noise, dance, electronic world jazz etc, the concert will lead the audience to a brand new sound experience.
