Faris Nasir is an interdisciplinary artist based in Malaysia who works across a range of mediums, including bubbleology, fire dance, flow/circus arts, and digital arts focusing on 3D fractal art, VFX, and projection mapping. His art explores the connection between different fields, including music, science, economics, and nature. Since 2010, Faris has delved deeply into the world of soap bubbles as a performing bubbleologist. Using photography to understand the physics behind bubbles, it opens up to him the world of fractals, repeating patterns and scales that can be found in the world around us. This exploration has inspired him to create 3D fractal art and video editing, as well as to treat various forms of art as a balance between different elements. His principle of ‘play and learn’had shaped his journey merging science and arts in his practice.
