“Lost Communications” at Videotage—an extraordinary exploration of art, nature, and technology by the electronic musician An-Ting 安婷 and technologist Ian Gallagher.

來自英國的藝術家二人組 —— 電子音樂家An-Ting 安婷及創意技術專家Ian Gallagher —— 將於錄映太奇呈獻電子音樂 x AI生成影像表演「失絡之聲」，展現他們在香港駐留期間對藝術、自然和科技的探索成果。

A fundamental property of the natural world is interaction and communication. Every species in an ecosystem contributes to the harmonious symphony that it is a part of. We chose a long time ago to shut ourselves off from this, slowly at first, but with ever increasing speed, we have closed our hearts. We no longer hear the natural music around us.

Travelling from the UK, through Mongolia, Sichuan and Hong Kong, Ian and An-Ting 安婷 have recorded bird songs as the musical expression of the environments they found themselves in.

On the 8th December (Fri),  they will present their current work produced during their residency with Videotage. With a live electronic music performance by An-Ting 安婷 and real-time audio-reactive AI projection by Ian, an attempt will be made to listen to what the birds are saying.

An-Ting (Music Composer) and Ian Gallagher (Creative Technologist) have a history of co-creating groundbreaking works, including “CAN X Two Temple Place Digital Exhibition and Immersive Performance” (2021) and “HOME X” (2023). These projects have garnered recognition, including the Arts Council England’s Digital Culture Award for Storytelling. Premiered in London Barbican, co-commissioned by York Theatre Royal and Cambridge Junction, Oxford Contemporary Music and originally commissioned by British Council Hong Kong, HOME X was recently nominated for UK Theatre Award – Digital Innovation.

互動交流和溝通是自然萬物之間的原始根基，各種生物都為大自然貢獻和諧奏樂。然而，人類選擇了將自己與自然隔絕起來，隨著世界的速度越來越快，我們的心也越來越封閉，再也聽不到身邊的自然聲音。

Ian 和安婷由英國啟程，途經蒙古、四川和香港，錄下各地不同雀鳥鳴叫的聲音，透過音樂表達他們於身處之地的感受。

他們將於12月8日（五）分享在錄映太奇駐場發展的新作品 ，安婷的現場電子音樂表演和Ian以人工智能實現的即時音頻控制視覺投影，將帶領觀眾一起嘗試聆聽鳥語。
