97 Tons of Memories
1997 – The year of Reunification, the year of memories: the end of the colonial dynasty, the birth of the SAR, the withdrawal of British troops, the arrival of the People’s Liberation Army … … The rise of the five-star flag, the fall of the Union Jack! All these images are still flashing inside my head. Witnessing the end of an era and the dawn of a new one, I kept recording the history through my little camera.
