As part of the Video Essay project, curated by Leung Man Tao and Steven Pang, and comprising two creative phases – writing and video production – Star to Star is a collaboration between Jamsen Law and Lui Tai Lok. Working within a common theme, each artist expressed their vision through their respective medium: Law through video and Lui through essay. The duration and soundtrack of the video corresponds to the exact length of the Star Ferry journey from Central Hong Kong to Tsim Sha Tsui at the tip of the Kowloon Peninsula. The visuals abstractly recreate the iconic and unforgettable skyline of Hong Kong Island.
