Videotage in collaboration with The New Art Fest’20 presents Bit Street Hong Kong, including online screenings and street showcases in Lisbon, during 7 August to 11 August 2020, exploring how media artists’ imagined spaces will be perceived in a virtual setting and beyond.

In the time of pandemic, the ways we live have been greatly changed. We started to rethink our lives and habits while practicing social distancing. More than half a year, how do media artists respond to the pandemic? The program features newly created and distinct short videos by four millennial media artists, including Chen Pin Tao, Lu Yang, Suze Chan, and Zhiwan Cheung, revealing their post-covid 19 observations and imaginations.

Three works will premiere. All the artworks will be shown online at both Content Lab and The New Art Fest’20. Video trailers will also be presented on interactive billboards network MOP-TOMIS-Lx over the streets and subway stations in Lisbon.On 11th August 2020, there will be an online conversation around the artists’ works and art practice in relation to the Pandemic and its constraints.

錄映太奇和 The New Art Fes’20 共同呈獻媒體藝術節目「Bit Street Hong Kong」，在2020年8月7至11日推出線上放映，並在葡萄牙里斯本的街頭展示錄像作品的精華片段。

全球疫情改變人們的生活方式，開始了社交隔離的日子，亦使大家重新檢視生活習慣、思索人生。逾半年後，媒體藝術家又會有什麼回應？四位千禧世代媒體藝術，包括陳品陶、陸揚、Suze Chan和Zhiwan Cheung，將以風格迥異的超短錄像創作，表達他們在後疫情時代的觀察與想像。

三部作品為首次放映，影片將會在Content Lab和 The New Art Fest’20 的平台線上放映，亦會融入里斯本的大街小巷和地鐵站，於MOP-TOMIS-Lx 互動式螢幕展示。Bit Street Hong Kong亦會舉行一場網絡研討會，策展人、The New Art Fest’20藝術總監和參與藝術家，將圍繞新媒體互動環境下的藝術創作進行對談，討論藝術家在疫情期間的最新創作以及相關經驗。
